First step by product

Woven cotton shirt: Get the shirt’s fibre breakdown, woven construction, cut and size range before classification.
Knitted cotton T-shirt: Confirm this is a knitted T-shirt, not a polo or woven shirt. Record fibres, neckline and intended wearer.
Cotton household towel: Record the towel’s fabric, dimensions, household use and whether it is sold alone or as a set.
Scarf or neckerchief: Identify the scarf or neckerchief, its fibres, construction, dimensions and any non-textile trim.

Textile update checked 11 October 2026: the estimated-price mechanism’s Annex 4 for textiles and apparel was repealed from 15 September 2026. This is not Annex 4 of the RGCE customs rules. Automatic permits, importer registration, labels and other valuation obligations require separate checks.
